25-year-old Davy Norton, a former garbage collector, was recently admitted to one of the most prestigious universities. Behind his success lies a compelling and inspiring tale.
When Davy was eight, his family was involved in a terrible accident that took his dad’s life and left him and his brother in critical condition. Luckily, the brothers survived. But that has haunted Davy ever since.
Because of the accident, Davy developed panic attacks and would sometimes spasm out of control or be in a daze not doing anything. Flashbacks and nightmares of that day became an everyday occurrence for Davy.
Because of his condition, Davy’s mother decided to abandon the family, leaving him behind with his then 19-year-old brother. The once-stable household ended up running into financial difficulties.
Being a high school dropout without proper certificate, Davy’s brother worked multiple jobs to raise him, but they still struggled.
“There were times we didn’t have electricity at home because bills were not paid. And other times, we didn’t have food in the fridge.” – Davy
With pressure of his difficulties at home and PTSD, he started having trouble learning and focusing in classes. He couldn’t understand many of the ideas discussed.
Months passed, Davy went from straight A’s to near the bottom in class. Teachers advised to get him home schooled or drop out. Everyone gave up on him, except for his brother.
His brother brought him to find ways to improve his condition. They went for trainings, took medications, tried Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and several other therapies.
Unfortunately, nothing worked! One therapist after another, all the treatments were expensive and ineffective.
When it seemed like there was no way out, Davy ended up joining his brother to work as a garbage collector in hopes to lighten his brother’s burden and make ends meet. That’s when his life started turning the tide.
As a garbage collector, he worked under harsh weather conditions in an environment that is smelly, full of pests, and tiresome. One colleague uses Frankincense oil to get himself through a tough day. And surprisingly, its scent helped Davy stay calm and attentive.
Seeing how the oil calmed Davy, the colleague gave him a bottle of it. Davy started using immediately, massaging it onto his temples daily. The effects it had on him turned out to be mind-blowing.
“In just a few days, I already felt more relaxed and focused. My PTSD and anxiety episodes became less frequent and I learned things so much quicker!”
“It just felt like apart of my mind has opened up.” – Davy Norton
With a better mental state, he started studying again. He wakes up at 4 a.m. to study before going for work. He picks up his book whenever he has a break time.
Many colleagues felt it a pity to see a bright young man working in garbage collection as it is a job that’s often done by those who have no other choice in life. To encourage him, the colleagues helped to raise fund to get him to college.
With all the efforts, Davy managed to finish college. His results got him into a state university, in which he graduated with flying colors.
Now, the dropout who once had learning disabilities was accepted into FIVE prestigious universities, including Harvard, University of Pennsylvania, Columbia, and more.
As he reflects on his growth, Davy credits his time as a sanitation worker, thanking his brother and all his colleagues for not giving up on him and helping him see his own potential.
“Throughout my life, the people who I was supposed to lookup to were the ones who downplayed me and made me feel ‘not good enough’. I had to go to the ‘bottom’ of the social hierarchy--that’s to say the sanitation workers—in order to be uplifted.”
“Despite all the difficulties, their sacrifices were not in vain. I wouldn’t have made it here without them, and definitely not without Frankesseen™.” - Davy
The oil that Davy and his colleague used is called Frankesseen™.
It is the creation of renown researcher Dr. Bipin Vivek. Frankesseen™ is the concentrated Frankincense oil sourced from Africa, extracted from the resin of the Boswellia sacra tree.
